The Turing Test is a famous thought experiment and proposal by mathematician Alan Turing to determine if a machine can exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from that of a human. It involves a human evaluator conversing via text with both a human and a machine, trying to identify which is which. If the evaluator cannot reliably tell them apart, the machine is said to have passed the test.
