The Tunisian Campaign was a pivotal series of battles fought in Tunisia during World War II, from November 1942 to May 1943. It saw Allied forces, primarily British, American, and French, decisively defeat Axis forces, trapping and capturing over a quarter-million German and Italian soldiers. This victory ended the North African Campaign and opened the door for the Allied invasion of Southern Europe.
