Terafab is a planned semiconductor fabrication plant jointly developed by Tesla, xAI, and SpaceX, aiming to produce over one terawatt of artificial intelligence compute capacity per year. The project seeks to consolidate all stages of semiconductor device production under one roof, with an initial prototype facility in Austin, Texas, and a full-scale facility to be built at a later determined location. The estimated cost for the full-scale facility is around $5 trillion.
