Stanley Pons

Stanley Pons is an American electrochemist best known for his controversial 1989 announcement with <a href="/article/martin-fleischmann">Martin Fleischmann</a> of achieving "cold fusion." This claim, which suggested a new, clean energy source, generated immense excitement but was largely discredited by the scientific community due to a lack of reproducible results.
