Shlomo Sternberg

Shlomo Sternberg was a highly influential American mathematician and Harvard University professor, renowned for his groundbreaking work in geometry, particularly symplectic geometry and Lie theory. He authored numerous foundational textbooks that shaped generations of mathematicians and physicists, and was also an Orthodox rabbi.
