Pompeia Paulina was a prominent Roman woman of the 1st century AD, best known as the devoted wife of the philosopher and statesman <a href="/article/lucius-annaeus-seneca">Lucius Annaeus Seneca</a>. Her story is primarily remembered for her courageous attempt to die alongside her husband when he was ordered to commit suicide by <a href="/article/emperor-nero">Emperor Nero</a>.
