Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC)

The Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC) was an international body established in 1948 to administer the <a href="/article/marshall-plan">Marshall Plan</a>, a massive US aid program for post-World War II European recovery. It played a crucial role in coordinating economic reconstruction, fostering trade, and laying the groundwork for future European integration, eventually transforming into the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1961.
