Niko Tinbergen: Pioneer of Ethology

Niko Tinbergen was a Dutch biologist and ornithologist who co-founded ethology, the scientific study of animal behaviour. He shared the 1973 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Konrad Lorenz and Karl von Frisch, and his "four questions" framework still shapes how scientists study behaviour today.
