Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa, born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, was an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun who dedicated her life to serving "the poorest of the poor." She founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation that grew globally, providing care for the sick, dying, and destitute. Canonized as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work.
