Latin Language

Latin is a classical language from the Italic branch of the Indo-European family, originally spoken in ancient Rome. It became the dominant language of the Roman Empire and profoundly influenced many modern languages, especially the Romance languages and English. Though often called "dead," Latin evolved into new languages and remains important in academia, science, law, and the Catholic Church.
