The Korean War

The Korean War was a brutal conflict fought on the Korean Peninsula from 1950 to 1953, pitting North Korea and its allies (China, Soviet Union) against South Korea and a United Nations force led by the United States. It began with North Korea's invasion of the South, leading to a back-and-forth struggle that ultimately ended in a stalemate and an armistice, leaving Korea divided to this day.
