John Forbes Nash Jr.

John Forbes Nash Jr. was a brilliant American mathematician whose groundbreaking work in game theory, particularly the concept of the Nash Equilibrium, revolutionized economics and other fields. Despite his profound intellectual contributions, he battled severe mental illness, specifically schizophrenia, for much of his adult life, a struggle chronicled in the book and film "A Beautiful Mind." He was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994 and the Abel Prize in 2015.
