The Irish War of Independence: How Ireland Fought for Freedom
The Irish War of Independence was a guerrilla conflict fought between 1919 and 1921, where the Irish Republican Army sought to end British rule and establish an independent Irish Republic. It resulted in the Anglo-Irish Treaty, which created the Irish Free State but also led to the partition of Ireland and a subsequent civil war.
