Henri Giraud

Henri Giraud was a distinguished French Army general known for his two daring escapes from German captivity during both World Wars. During World War II, he emerged as a key leader of the French Resistance, initially backed by the United States, and later co-presided over the French Committee of National Liberation alongside his rival, Charles de Gaulle, playing a crucial role in uniting French forces against the Axis powers.
