The Golden Globe Awards are annual accolades bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to recognize excellence in both film and television, both domestic and foreign. Often considered a precursor to the Academy Awards, they are known for their star-studded ceremonies and unique division of acting categories into "Drama" and "Musical or Comedy."
