The Godesberg Memorandum was an ultimatum issued by <a href="/article/adolf-hitler">Adolf Hitler</a> on September 24, 1938, during the <a href="/article/sudetenland-crisis">Sudetenland Crisis</a>. It demanded the immediate cession and German military occupation of the Sudetenland region of <a href="/article/czechoslovakia">Czechoslovakia</a>, escalating tensions and pushing Europe closer to <a href="/article/world-war-ii">World War II</a>.
