The First Czechoslovak Republic (1918–1938)
The First Czechoslovak Republic was the democratic state of Czechs and Slovaks created in 1918 after the collapse of Austria-Hungary. It was the only functioning democracy in Central Europe during the 1930s until it was dismantled by the Munich Agreement of 1938.
