The February Revolution

The February Revolution was the first of two revolutions in Russia in 1917, leading to the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the end of the Romanov dynasty. It began with mass protests in Petrograd against food shortages and the ongoing World War I, culminating in the collapse of the autocratic government and the establishment of a provisional government.
