Eratosthenes

Eratosthenes was an Ancient Greek polymath, famous for being the first person to accurately calculate the Earth's circumference. As chief librarian of the Library of Alexandria, he made groundbreaking contributions to geography, mathematics, astronomy, and chronology, earning him the nickname "Pentathlos" for his wide-ranging expertise.
