Eighth Army

The Eighth Army is the sole active field army of the <a href="/article/united-states-army">United States Army</a>, currently stationed in <a href="/article/south-korea">South Korea</a>. It commands all U.S. Army forces on the peninsula, playing a critical role in deterring aggression and maintaining stability in Northeast Asia. With a history spanning <a href="/article/world-war-ii">World War II</a>, the occupation of <a href="/article/japan">Japan</a>, and the <a href="/article/korean-war">Korean War</a>, it remains a cornerstone of the U.S.-Republic of Korea alliance.
