Edward J. Ruppelt

Edward J. Ruppelt was a United States Air Force officer best known for leading Project Blue Book, the official government study of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), in the early 1950s. He is widely credited with coining the term "unidentified flying object" to replace less precise phrases like "flying saucer." His work brought a more organized and objective approach to UFO investigations during his tenure.
