Cold Fusion

Cold fusion is a hypothetical type of nuclear reaction that would occur at or near room temperature, contrasting with the high-temperature fusion reactions that occur in stars and fusion reactors. The concept of cold fusion was first introduced in 1989 by Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons, but their findings were met with skepticism and failed to be replicated by other scientists. Despite ongoing research, cold fusion remains a controversial and unproven concept.
