Charles Péguy

Charles Péguy was a prominent French poet, essayist, and editor of the early 20th century, known for his complex blend of socialist, nationalist, and Catholic philosophies. He founded and edited the influential literary magazine *Les Cahiers de la Quinzaine* and was killed in action during the early days of World War I, becoming a symbolic figure for France.
