Charlemagne

Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, was a powerful Frankish king who united much of Western and Central Europe during the early Middle Ages. Crowned Emperor in 800 CE, he laid the foundations for what would become the Holy Roman Empire and initiated a period of cultural revival known as the Carolingian Renaissance, profoundly shaping European history.
