Antisthenes

Antisthenes was an ancient Greek philosopher and a student of Socrates, known for advocating a life of virtue and self-sufficiency. He is often considered the founder of Cynic philosophy, emphasizing asceticism and a rejection of conventional societal norms. His teachings laid the groundwork for later Hellenistic schools of thought.
