Alfred Bucherer was a German physicist known for his pioneering experiments on the relativistic mass of electrons, which provided early support for <a href="/article/albert-einstein">Albert Einstein's</a> theory of <a href="/article/special-relativity">special relativity</a>. He is also credited with being the first to use the phrase "theory of relativity" to describe Einstein's groundbreaking work.
