Alexander Borodin

Alexander Borodin was a remarkable Russian figure of the 19th century, celebrated both as a Romantic composer and a distinguished chemist. He was a key member of "The Five," a group dedicated to forging a unique Russian classical music style, and is best known for his opera *Prince Igor* and the symphonic poem *In the Steppes of Central Asia*. Simultaneously, he made significant contributions to organic chemistry, viewing science as his primary profession.
